Responsibilities for the administration of University owned real estate include:
- Coordinating real estate transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, and gift property
- Support objectives of Schools and Colleges assisting with strategic planning and property development
- Easements, legal descriptions, and deeds
- Environmental Assessments
- Property appraisals
Space Management manages lease identification and execution when space needs cannot be met in existing campus buildings.
Responsibilities include:
- Representing UW in lease negotiations and administration
- Evaluating space needs, working with deans, departments, and state budget analysts
- Locating appropriate privately-owned space
- Project management and tenant improvements
- Processing rent payments and other lease-related bills
- Resolving tenant and landlord disputes
